1/20/2024 - SWHighlander Likes this wine: 92 pointsDecanted for an hour, but should have started earlier. This is a big, powerful wine. Still a bit tight when I drank it. The flavors were nice but seemed muted, especially on the nose. I suspect it would have shown better if I had opened it for closer to 4 hours early. Surprising to me for a 2010. |

Some dried flowers on the finish. Really polished. This has aged very well and held up much better than I would have expected given its humble breeding and the vintage. Did I really buy this for $19?! |

12/25/2023 - mattym19 Likes this wine: 91 pointsOpen in the bottle for about an hour or two. Nose is seductive with old library books, cherries, dried blueberries, a bit of clayey earth. Palate is alive, juicy and fresh despite being 20 years old. More juicy red cherries and blackberries, hint of leather, baking spices. Not life-changing but really quite delicious and in a good spot. |

11/26/2023 - Aravind Asok wrote: NRPop and pour. Disappeared fast. Lovely nose: with soft game, loads of ripe.blackberry, sauvage herbs and a touch of olive brine. On the palate: lovely acidity, medicinal herbs, solid density, loads of hi-toned red fruit. Some serious chalky tannin on the close. Loads of fruit left, if this btl is any indication; my 09 Bonserines seem more mature than this btl did. Absolutely lovley right now. |

11/12/2023 - tomoem Likes this wine: 93 pointsReally dark color that is almost tawny port. I was told that it is 95% Syrah. Aromatically the wine is ..... WOW !!! Spiced, rich and cherry kirsch and mulberry. On the palette the wine has creamy body, balanced acidity and presents a ready to drink viscous juice. Lovely |

11/4/2023 - dlu wrote: NRInteresting change from our previous tasting: Texture and body seemed very light, possibly explained by a fair quantity of solids precipitated out. Primary fruits mostly gone, but secondary flavors and structure well-equipped to match a braised beef dish. Probably not a re-purchase if looking for the big profile suggested by the northern Rhone appellation. |

10/21/2023 - philmtl Likes this wine: NRBordeaux nose! Seriously, it’s leather, cigar box, slate and cassis! Could have fooled me. The Syrah shows on the palate with bright red berries, hints of smokey meat and a ferruginous note. Nice not great but very much alive. |

Crimson color. Moderately sedimented. The cork came out easily. Notes of Cherries and bacon fat. Loose tannins. 90 points |

5/19/2023 - AGELVIS Likes this wine: 93 pointsPNP, but poured through a modestly aerating spout. Deep dark purple magenta color. Black cherry, peppered salami, violet, and subtle spent coffee grounds. Smooth, dry palate, with gritty acidity. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish. 97% Syrah and 3% Viogner aged 24 months in 600-liter barrels. |

5/14/2023 - beatles wrote: 92 pointsEarly maturity with oak more or less integrated. This is a tell-tale Côte-Rôtie with all the fixers, black olives galore, bacon, hanged meat, black fruit, creamy, well rounded. No hurry to drink this, will keep ten years from now. |

9/18/2022 - Quarked wrote: 85 pointsUnpleasant odors from the bottle, even after giving it lots of air. But there was no corresponding taste -- in fact, there wasn't much taste at all. There was almost no real body here, and little flavor. I guess it could be corked, but it didn't seem to be. Finally, on the second night, some notes of leather and menthol, the latter almost bordering on cough drops, showed up. This was most welcome, since there had been so little previously to say about this bottle. I have one more to open next year, and if it is very different, I may decide that this bottle was corked. But that's not my impression now. |

Síðan rjómi og smjör. Miklu meiri fylling í þessu víni. Í eftirbragði komu svo fram möndlur. Ætti að vera fínt næstu 3 til 5 árin. Verðmiðinn 38€. |

5/21/2022 - dlu Likes this wine: NRFully saturated robe in the deep purple range. Surprisingly fast legs for the stated 13% ABV. Nose of blue and black fruits, tight at first, then opening into menthol, herbs, and leather. Tannins still quite active, but balanced well by bright acid. Overall a pleasing, slightly austere package that works well with lamb (gigot) or sausage. Plenty of evolution to come ... to be revisited in a year or so. |
